Trends That Need To Stop: Trailers For Trailers
The series of five second teaser trailers for the 90 second ‘Prometheus’ trailer were annoying, but now we have a teaser trailer for the ‘Avengers’ Super Bowl trailer. I love a good tease as much as the next person, but things are really getting out of hand with all this teasing of things which are meant to tease in the first place. When will the line be drawn and all of this nonsense stop. Let trailer be trailers.
YES! A 10-15 second teaser for a commercial is nonsense.
I’m an advertising major, so I really shouldn’t be complaining, but I have to give a presentation on teaser ads for tech companies and then watch three other presentations of what to expect for the Super Bowl commercials and therefore I will have to watch all these teasers ads and oh god blood is running out of my eyeballs why is this a thing I’m vomiting and pooping.
